This Privacy Policy was created to help clients understand how Wharton Wealth Planning, LLC uses and safeguards their personal and financial information. We understand that our clients entrust our firm with private information and it is our mission to maintain that trust. Our Privacy Policy applies to current and former clients of our firm. In connection with providing investment products, financial advice, and other services, we collect information to help better understand your personal financial situation, provide appropriate recommendations and level of service, or to assist in related financial-planning matters. The information we collect may include name, address, phone, email, date of birth, Social Security number, income, financial data (including transaction history data), and information relative to your investment experience and goals. We do not sell personal information to anyone. We protect the security and confidentiality of the data we collect and do not disclose personal information to third parties except in the following circumstances: To entities that perform services for us or function on our behalf, including financial service providers, such as a clearing broker-dealer, investment company, insurance company, other advisers, banking institutions; to consumer reporting agencies; to third parties that perform services or marketing, client resource management or other parties to help manage your account on our behalf; to your attorney, trustee or anyone else who represents you in a fiduciary capacity; to our attorneys, accountants or auditors; and to government entities or other third parties in response to subpoenas or other legal processes as required by law or to comply with regulatory inquiries. Outside of these exceptions we will not share clients’ personal information with third parties unless we have specifically been asked to do so. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards and conduct ongoing reviews to protect personal information.
Our financial planning software provider, Right Capital, uses data security featuring 2048-bit asymmetric encryption and 256-bit symmetric encryption, so your personal information is very secure. Our financial planning software partners with Envestnet | Yodlee to provide account aggregation. All of your banking credentials are managed by Envestnet | Yodlee, and we do not store your credentials. We communicate with Yodlee via an encrypted data link.
